Welcome to Brandon in Suffolk

Brandon is a small town in the English county of Suffolk, with an esimated population of just over 8,500. Brandon has a small market every Thursday and Saturday, in addition to the many small shops in the town. There are also a number of national businesses in Brandon, including Tesco, Aldi, Boots and The Original Factory Shop.

 

Brandon in Suffolk now shares its name with towns in Lincolnshire, Durham and Warwickshire. According to the Eilert Ekwall in the Oxford Dictionary of English Place Names, the origin of the name is "Brandon, usually 'hill where broom grows'".

Help Brandon Town Centre Win £100,000

Forest Heath District Council have selected Brandon as the only town in the district to be put forward in 'The Mary Portas Pilot' competition which gives Brandon a chance to win £100,000 for the town.

Where is Brandon?

Brandon is located in the Breckland area of East Anglia on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk. It is close to the major town of Ipswich and city of Norwich, Brandon is easily accessible by bus and train. The Google™ map below shows the location of Brandon, Suffolk.
