Brandon is a small town in the English county of Suffolk, with an esimated population of just over 8,500. Brandon has a small market every Thursday and Saturday, in addition to the many small shops in the town. There are also a number of national businesses in Brandon, including Tesco and Aldi.
Brandon in Suffolk now shares its name with towns in Lincolnshire, Durham and Warwickshire. According to the Eilert Ekwall in the Oxford Dictionary of English Place Names, the origin of the name is "Brandon, usually 'hill where broom grows'".
