Figures obtained by BrandonSuffolk.com from Suffolk Police under the Freedom of Information Act, show that crime in Brandon for the first 6 months of 2009 is up by just 1.7% on the same period last year. It shows that the number of crimes for January to June 2009 totalled 415, compared to 408 in 2008.
Whilst showing that the overall crime in Brandon is up, the figures also show that a number of crimes, including criminal damage, are down on last year.
