An introduction to The Voluntary Network:

The Voluntary Network operates a number community projects in the Brandon area. You can find details of some on their services below.

 

Brecks Bus Service:

Wheelchair accessible community transport for residents or Brandon and neighbouring villages. Operates Monday to Friday and can help you to visit the countryside, go shopping, attend medical journeys and take you to the railway and bus stations in order to travel further a field.

Community Car Service:

Volunteer drivers help to take passengers further a field, eg. hospital appointments, visit relatives or attend social groups. Please call 01638 608049 for further information.

Forest Heath Volunteer Centre:

We work to promote volunteering in the Forest Heath area. We recruit, match and place volunteers with a wide range of local voluntary organisations. We are holding a regular drop in session at Brandon CAB, the first Wednesday of every month, starting Wednesday 1st April, 1pm til 3pm. Please call 01638 608048 to hear more about volunteering in your area.

 

Befriending Service:

Volunteers offer support to the more vulnerable members of our community, just an informal chat can make a real difference to those who are housebound. If you would like to get involved or know someone who would benefit from the service then please call 01638 608048.
