Two men arrested after cannabis grow found

Two men have been arrested following the discovery of a large cannabis grow at an industrial unit in Brandon.

Suffolk Police were called to the premises on Twickenham Avenue on Monday 28th July.

Two men were arrested at the scene.

Arlina Laci, 37, of Sugden Way, Barking was arrested and subsequently charged with cultivation of cannabis.

Arben Meta, 23, of no-fixed-abode was arrested and subsequently charged with cultivation of cannabis. He was also arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to resist arrest and assaulting a police officer. For both of which he was released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Officers were at the premises throughout Tuesday clearing the unit of cannabis and growing equipment.

Both men were remanded to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 30th July.
