Emergency services called to collision on A1065

Emergency services were called to a collision on the A1065 in Brandon earlier today.

Police were called at around 2pm today, Wednesday 9th December, after a car collided with a tree near to The Original Factory Shop on London Road.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, the East of England Ambulance Service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were also mobilised to the incident.

Fire crews from Brandon, Thetford and Mildenhall worked to make the vehicle safe and one casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.

The driver, a man in his 50s, suffered minor injuries, however he has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The A1065 was closed in both directions while emergency services worked and recovery of the vehicle was arranged.

The road has now reopened.
