Police were called to Brandon at the weekend after receiving reports of a group of males trying car door handles.
Officers responded to the Bury Road and Beavor Lane area of the town on the evening of Saturday 16th January.
Four young males were seen in the area and ran from officers.
They were later located by police and two were detained for searches.
No one was arrested or charged in relation to any offences.
The reports come as Suffolk Police launch Operation Night Owl in a bid to tackle night-time crime across the west Suffolk area.
