A pre-application planning consultation on a proposal to expand IES Breckland School in Brandon to 600 places has been launched.

Suffolk County Council (SCC) is consulting on the proposals which includes a new standalone two storey teaching block and reconfiguration of areas within the existing buildings. External changes will also include improved parking.

The proposed expansion increases capacity from 500 pupils to 600 pupils and is scheduled for September 2022.

This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable SCC to gather the views of parents and local residents prior to the submission of the planning application. It does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning consultation process.

You can view the plans for the proposed development below:

Unfortunately, because of current restrictions, SCC are unable to hold a local drop-in session. However, if you would like to discuss any aspect please add your phone number to your comments to allow a member of the team to call you. If you do not have access to the internet, draft plans will be displayed on the boundary fence of the school on Crown Street.

To submit your feedback on the proposals you can complete an online survey or you can download a comment form and return it to:
