A main road in Brandon was closed off by fire crews earlier today after a digger cut through a gas pipe.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Thetford Road just before 10am this morning, Thursday 20th May.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service said a construction digger had cut through a gas mains pipe outside a house.
Crews from Brandon, Newmarket and Thetford were sent to the scene with other appliances mobilised but stood down while en route.
The road was closed for around two hours while Cadent engineers worked to isolate the leak and has now reopened.
