Group of men throw bottles at car in bakery car park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was damaged by a group of men in Brandon.

The incident took place at a car park at the rear of Hyams Bakery in Beavor Lane between 10.40pm and 10.50pm on Saturday 7th January.

The victim was stationary in a Volkswagen Polo at traffic lights at the Thetford Road/London Road junction and saw what they believed to be a silver Audi A4 at the same junction but headed in a different direction, with the occupants of the vehicle looking at the Polo.

The offenders then turned their vehicle around and followed the victim down Beavor Lane and into the car park.

Several men then got out of the vehicle and started damaging the Polo by throwing bottles and hitting it with other objects, piercing the bodywork of the car.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has any dash-cam footage from the area around that time, saw any suspicious activity or has any other information is asked to contact Suffolk police, quoting crime reference 37/1406/23, via ccc@suffolk.pnn.police.uk or 101.
