Multiple crews have been working for over 30 hours to tackle a large forest fire on the outskirts of Brandon.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were first called to the incident just off Mile End at 1.43pm on Friday 13th June.
Five appliances from Brandon, Mildenhall, Thetford and Newmarket were initially sent to the incident.
The fire service also sent a Unimog off road vehicle and water bowser to the scene.
On arrival approximately 6,000sqm of forestry and undergrowth was found to be well alight.
Firefighters worked throughout the night and the fire was finally brought under control by 8.18am today, Saturday 14th June.
Fire crews from across Suffolk and Norfolk have been in attendance throughout the day to dampen down and tackle hot spots.
One appliance will remain on scene tonight to prevent reignition.
