Thieves steal cash, cigarettes and vapes in burglary

Thieves stole cash, cigarettes, vapes and tobacco products from Tesco in Brandon early this morning.

Police are now appealing for witnesses following the aggravated burglary at the supermarket on London Road.

Officers were called to the store shortly before 1am today, Wednesday 20th August, following reports that male suspects had forced entry through the front doors using crowbars and sledgehammers.

Once inside, the offenders stole a quantity of cash, along with cigarettes, vapes and tobacco products.

The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. They were reported to have left the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle, travelling along London Road in the direction of Mildenhall.

Police are appealing for witnesses, including anyone in the area with CCTV or a video doorbell, or drivers in the area with a dash-camera. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Suffolk police quoting crime reference 37/47051/25.
