Witness appeal following fatal collision in Weeting

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Weeting at the weekend.

It happened at around 5.30pm, on Saturday 8th November on the B1106 (Lynn Road) when a blue Dacia Duster collided with a child pedestrian.

The road was closed while emergency services, including ambulance and air ambulance, attended the scene.

The child, a girl, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with life threatening injuries. Sadly, she has now died.

The road reopened at 3am on Sunday 9th November.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any relevant dashcam footage. The driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
