Staff threatened with knife during robbery at bookmakers

The incident took place at Ladbrokes on Market Hill

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after staff at a bookmakers were threatened with a knife during a robbery in Brandon.

The incident took place at Ladbrokes on Market Hill just before 6.30pm on Friday 18th March.

A man entered the bookmakers armed with a knife and demanded money from the cashier before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed sum of cash.

The suspect is described as white, aged his mid-30s, 6ft 2in tall, of slim build and with a beard.

He was wearing a dark hooded jacket at the time of the incident.
